Long-time host Nancy O’Dell has announced her plan to leave ET on Friday night’s broadcast. The journo who was the co-host from the entertainment magazine for more than eight years. O’Dell, 53 joined ET in the year 2011, later that year in May she replaced the legendary Mary Hart after her retirement.
The anchor announced her intentions on the air in favor of spending some time with her 12-year old daughter and also shedding some light on new opportunities that might come in the future. Tonight, I’m excited to tell all of you about the start of a new chapter in my life. It means I am leaving this position, but it does not mean I am leaving the genre. I’ll be back, and it won’t be long,” O’Dell told her viewers.
O’Dell who was previously associated with Access Hollywood and now co-hosted for ET for nine long years set her priorities right to spend some time off with her daughter Ashby Grace Zubulevich, the most wonderful gal in her as she quoted.
O’Dell also shared her statement on Instagram with a heartfelt tribute to her late manager John Ferriter who is credited to played an important role in shaping her career. She recalled his last advice, do what makes you happy, you are creating your own best life.
