Nicki Minaj announces her ‘abrupt retirement’ from music; but the Internet is not sure!

Popular rapper and singer Nicki Minaj tweeted recently that she’s chosen to retire and “have my family.”

Also, she asked her followers to “keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, [x] in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me”. This is a reference to her collaboration with Alicia Keys on a remix of the singer’s hit “Girl on Fire.”

MINAJ TO MARRY?

On the “Queen Radio” show, Minaj recently told listeners that she and boyfriend Kenneth Perry had applied for a marriage license and would wed in “about 80 days.”

Representatives for Minaj are yet to confirm the announcement. However, the fans aren’t convinced. This is mainly because Minaj is known to pull such tactics from time to time.

In 2016, Minaj teased fans with a fruit-inspired album tracklist. This turned out to be fake.

Furthermore, in recent years, the singer received bad press. This includes her beef with Cardi B and her fans’ constant attacks against people who criticize her online. Also, she came under attack for her recent marriage to Kenneth Petty, who is a registered sex offender and served time in prison for manslaughter.
