The series stars Tom Sturridge as Dream, Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, Boyd Holbrook as The Corinthian, Charles Dance as Roderick Burgess, Asim Chaudhry as Abel, and Sanjeev Bhaskar as Cain. Heinberg will serve as showrunner.

Neil Gaiman had mentioned that these characters have breathed and walked around and talked in his head. Having them step out of his head and into reality with the Netflix series makes him ‘incredibly happy.’ Gaiman expressed his gratitude towards the actors and the collaborators, such as Netflix, Warner Bros. and DC. Special thanks was also given to Heinberg and David S. Goyer for bringing the stories to life.
