Netflix Anime based on one and only black samurai, Yasuke: Deets inside

The world knows many famous Japanese samurais from the time period. However, many people might not know about Yasuke.

Yasuke was the first African Samurai to cross a sword in Japan. He was born in Mozambique Portuguese and served as a Japanese samurai in the 16th century. He would arrive in Japan in 1579 in the service of an Italian missionary. His dark skin would cause quite a stir, as local people would become quite fascinated at the sight of him.

People of Japan were fascinated by his body type and skin color, as they had never seen a black man before. Some of them, including the ruler, doubted if his skin color was real or was painted black. We don’t know much about its existence, despite the fact that he was considered to be a special rarity in Japan. Considering the color of his skin, he stood out among the people and his imposing presence was enough to catch the eye of the great unifier himself Lord Oda Nobunaga.

Netflix is all set to make and release a movie based on this storyline. Erik Fegi, Mike De Luca, and De Luca are going to produce this film.

YASUKE ANIME CAST

The protagonist of the movie, that is Yasuke, is most probably going to be played by the man known as Black Panther in the rest of the world, Chadwick Boseman. He is well known for these types of roles. The script of the movie is written by Doug Miro.
