Modern Family fame Sarah Hyland never lets her kidney issues stop her from living her best life. The 28-year-old actress got engaged recently to Bachelorette alum Wells Adams.
She has been open about her kidney dysplasia with her fans. Over the years, Sarah has undergone 16 surgeries and two kidney transplants.
While performing on Sunday night’s Teen Choice Awards 2019, Sarah was wearing a tight pink dress. She was performing her new song with Jordan McGraw called “Met At A Party” live on stage. She also thanked the audience for supporting her throughout her performance.
Soon, fans immediately started speculating she was pregnant.

Then, Sarah gave a serious shout-out to her swollen abdomen and kidney on Instagram afterward. She addressed the pregnancy rumors that exploded online after her performance. She thanked her “ever-changing” self-confidence, which made her not to wear spanx and let her KUPA (kidney upper pussy area) shine “like the badass bitch.”
Sarah earlier shared that she wore two pairs of shapewear to the Oscars to hide the bulge after her second kidney transplant. She had first mentioned the term KUPA in an interview with SELF magazine. She said that after the kidney transplant, her new kidney is connected to the old kidneys in front. This makes her lower abdomen pop out a bit. Hence, she calls it “My KUPA: kidney upper pussy area.”
