The new cast of “Mean Girls” are set to reprise their roles in the new Musical Movie
“Mean Girls” movie musical from Paramount is all set to star Angourie Rice, Aulii Cravalho, Jaquel Spivey, and Renee Rapp, which is written and produced by Tina Fey.
Mean Girls is based on the Tony-nominated Broadway musical, casting Renee Rapp who would be playing Regina George, the role she has formerly played on Broadway. She is currently starring in the second season of HBO’s ‘Sex Life of College Girls,’ with the same role as mentioned above, a role that she will reprise for the film. She was previously cast in the Broadway stage adaptation of the popular 2004 film as the Plastics boss.
Meanwhile, as per the report from The Hollywood Reporter, Angourie Rice, who starred in the role of Kate Winslet in the HBO series The Mares of Easttown, is going to play Cady in the musical. All the newly mentioned members of the cast Angourie Rice, Renee Rapp, Aulii Cravalho, and Jaquel Spivey are honored to reprise their roles as Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lizzy Caplan, and Daniel Franzese from the 2004 teen comedy.
Tina Fey, the original screenwriter, and musical theater composer is the writer of the movie, while Samantha Jain and Arturo Perez are set to direct. Tina Fey also wrote the script for the Broadway adaptation, as well as writing for the classical Teenage Movie. Her husband, Jeff Richmond, and creator of the theme song to 30 Rock will compose the score, while Nell Benjamin will declare the lyrics.
It is of major interest to the audience now that the cast is decided for Mean Girls, and such stars are about to justify the highly unexpectedly anticipated remake of an old play into a movie musical.
