Drake released his latest collaboration track with Lil Durk titled “Laugh Now Cry Later”, on Thursday at midnight. In the track, we can see the rapper playing basketball with Brooklyn Nets player Kevin Durant and throws around a football with Odell Beckham Jr.

The song has a brassy and slow beat, and has an overall casual vibe to it. The song was co-produced by Cardogotwings, GRy, Yung Exclusive, Roget Chahayed. Drake confirmed in an Instagram post that the song will be featured in his upcoming album Certified Lover Boy.

Staying active during lockdown

The Grammy winner had stayed active during quarantine, and in May had released the Dark Lane Demo Tapes collection, which almost took the Number One spot on the Rolling Stone Top 200 Albums chart – and released a few singles with it as well, such as “Only You Freestyle”, which was a solo and “Pop Star” and “Greece” which featured DJ Khaled.

The two songs featuring DJ Khaled are still in the Top 30 on the Rolling Stone Top 100 Songs chart, and had a joined 20 million streams last week. Aside from that, his “Toosie Slide,” “Life Is Good” featuring Future, and “Chicago Freestyle” featuring Giveon also stayed for a few months on the Top 100 this year.

Amidst dropping all these successful songs, he had been working on his new album. He spoke about the album to Duddy in April, and said that this was an album he had been really excited about for a long time, and the amount of focus and effort he put into it is more than he ever intended to.

The album, which is his sixth studio album, will be releasing this summer.
