Kanye West responds to Kim Kardashian’s request to be legally single
In December, Kim Kardashian requested a judge to grant her the status of being legally single and give her back her maiden name. And Kanye has finally decided to speak up on the matter.
In reference to his ex wife’s petition, West filed a response in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles. And according to the court documents, the rapper had a few conditions on the matter.
Kanye wants to solve custody and property issues at first
The first condition Kanye placed is to determine a final custody status before the court grants her request to remarry. The duo share 4 children together- North (8), Saint (6), Chicago (4) and Psalm (2 and a half).
Additionally, the documents state that in case any of the parties die, the 44-year-old rapper would want his right of reimbursement. He also wants Kim to agree that she will not move any assets from their trust before their property terms are decided.
The documents state that since Kim’s request does not contain any information regarding the issues, the court should deny it so that she can refile it again with the mandatory modifications.
It’s been a chaotic week for Kim and Kanye
As of now, there is a hearing set for Kim’s request in early March.
The SKIMS mogul filed for divorce in February 2021. Earlier this week, Kanye accepted that he was accountable for the series of Instagram posts and captions he put up for his former wife and her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
He even put up screenshots of messages he received from the Kardashian and Davidson. After being accused of harassing Kim, the Donda artist erased his entire Instagram account.
On the other hand, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star admitted that Kanye’s constant attacks on her been really hurtful. She added that she hopes to handle all matters privately and resolve them amicably.
