Johnny Depp joins Instagram: Encourages fans to ‘stay busy’ during quarantine and not lose hope

Johnny Depp officially became a new member of the Instagram family. He has finally joined this social app and instantly posted a photo and an 8-minute long video to address the fan. In the span of 2 days, he was followed by 1.8 million people on Instagram.

Pirates of Caribbean actor used Instagram first time to address the situation of coronavirus pandemic and also hinted at his conflict with ex-wife Amber Heard who filed a defamation case against him.

56-year-old posted a photo with the caption “filming something for you now”. After some time, he uploaded a video of 8 minutes 16 seconds on Instagram. He told that this was his first experience in the world of social media.

In the video, he opens up about the threats of the invisible enemy which already caused catastrophic damage to the lives of people. He also said that many people are living in the street with no protection, no roof and no option of self Quarantine at all. So Depp inferred that everyone should help each other throughout this dark stage.

Depp said that despite the sensation that “both our hands are tied behind our backs… our minds are unbound and our hearts aren’t chained and that we can care.”

Johnny Depp also conveys the message that stay safe, stay well and stay inside your home and it is our foremost responsibility. He also told to make the best use of time by doing what we love.

At the end of the video clip, he sang his upcoming single with the guitarist Jeff Beck. Depp thanked his fans for the compassion and support over the years. He added that he was “touched beyond words” which could be linked to his ex-wife Amber Heard who made false allegations as told by Johnny Depp. He already said that all the allegation formulated by Amber Heard is a flat lie.
