Joaquin Phoenix was seen giving serious couple goals with fiancée Rooney Mara at the premier of his upcoming movie Joker in Los Angeles. The couple was all handsy as they celebrated Joaquin’s turn in Todd Philips’ flick. Joaquin and Rooney were reported to have got engaged earlier this year.
The couple looked adorable at the red carpet. Joaquin sported a sharp black suit as he went around promoting his flicks and posing for the photographs. Rooney looked equally stunning in a glam two-piece frock. She wore her tresses in a bun with a black headband.
44 years old Joaquin placed his hand behind his wife to be Rooney, guiding her into the theatre. The couple walked in together after sharing a laugh. And inside the bash, the two lovebirds were engrossed in conversations embracing each other, with 34 years old Rooney wrapping her hands around her fiancé.
Joan and Rooney made their relationship public two years ago in the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. The couple was rumored of getting engaged this year in May. And the rumor was finally confirmed this year in July when a huge diamond ring was spotted Rooney’s finger while running errands in Los Angeles.
Joaquin and Rooney met each other in 2013 on the set of Her. However, the duo started dating a year later after the movie Mary Magdalene, before they appeared together at the Cannes Film Festival.
Joaquin’s Joker has although received criticism from some, the movie recently won the Golden Lion award at the 2019 Venice Film Festival.
