James Gunn announces engagement to Jennifer Holland
Can you hear the wedding bells? We certainly do! Filmmaker James Gunn dropped a major bomb on social media recently and the fans are going gaga over it. The director and producer and longtime partner Jennifer Holland are finally engaged!
The duo immediately shared the news on social media. Gunn posted a picture on Instagram where we see Holland sipping from a mug while flaunting her diamond ring. He captioned the photo with “😏❤️” but reports say that it is indeed an engagement confirmation post. Holland commented with a “🥰” on the post.
Earlier on the same day, Holland posted a picture of her and the Guardians of the Galaxy director with a stunning rainbow behind the couple. She captioned the post with “Happiness. 🌈 ⛅️ ❤️”.
James and Jennifer have been together since 2015
Gunn’s pal Michael Rosenbaum, who we better know as Lex Luthor in Smallville, introduced the two when we was in relationship with one of Holland’s friends. Apparently The Suicide Squad director saw a picture of Holland and let’s just say, there were sparks all around!
Rosenbaum’s then girlfriend approached Jennifer regarding setting her up but the Peacemaker actress wasn’t aware of who Gunn was at that point.
Later on, during an interview, Holland said that even though she felt weird initially, they immediately clicked on the first date. She added that the two spent nearly 7 hours together where she told him her entire life story.

Apart from being in a romantic relationship, the couple even worked together. Holland played the role of Emilia Harcourt in The Suicide Squad and repeated the role again in Peacemaker. Her acting projects also include Sun Records and American Horror Story.
Previously, Gunn was married to The Office actress Jenna Fischer. After 6 years of marriage, the couple split up in 2007.
