James Corden Announces Departure From The Late Late Show After Eight Years

James Corden has announced that he will be leaving The Late Late Show. The talk show host announced that he will be leaving the program last night in Los Angeles. Let’s read more on his career in entertainment.

Corden definitely became a household name thanks to his show, which began in 2015. He had taken over host duties from Craig Ferguson. On Thursday’s episode of the show, the 43-year-old host said it was hardest decision he’s ever had to make. He added that he never wanted the show to be his final destination, nor did he want it to overstay its welcome. That is why he will be departing the show after completing eight years and move on with his career.

He went on that hosting the show changed his life and that he’s proud of all that they have achieved. He also said that the coming year will be the best year they will ever have and that they will go off with a bang.

James Corden began his career in the West End before starring in 1999’s Boyz Unlimited. He went on to star in many British shows, with Gavin and Stacey being one of the most popular ones. He starred in stage shows, musicals, and movies in between. But perhaps the  best segment of his show was Carpool Karaoke. The segment starred musical guests as well as political figures. Michelle Obama, BTS, Ariana Grande, Sia, Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Ed Sheeran where among the guests.

CBS president and CEO George Cheeks said that they want Corden to stay longer, but are very proud of all the inputs he made for the show. We wish Corden a successful career ahead.
