Elissa Cadwell who performed stunts in the movie ‘Aquaman’ will join the Mortal Kombat Reboot as character Nitara.
About the Character “Nitara”
Nitara is a vampire-like character in Mortal Kombat. The character made its debut in 2002. The presence of this character got significance in Mortal Kombat of 2007. Nitara is portrayed as a neutral personality rather than specifically evil.
There is an objective of her own that connects her from the outside world in the Kombat game. The character was featured in Mortal Kombar 11, Mortal Kombat: Deception, and Mortal Kombat: Unchained.
CAST of the Film Mortal Kombat Reboot
Stuntwoman Elissa Cadwell is joining the game which features other casts like Lewis Tan, Hiroyuki Sanada, Chin Han, Joe Taslim, Jessica McNamee and many more.
Lewis Tan will play the lead role whose name is unknown yet. He has showcased an excellent work in Deadpool 2. The next on the cast line is Jessica McNamee who will play Sonya Blade. Josh Lawson will be seen as character Kano and Chin Han as character Shang Tsung.
Next on the line is Hiroyuki Sanada playing the role of Scorpion, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang and Tadanobu Asano will be Raiden. Then we have Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Siri Stringer as Mileena, Max Huang as Kung Lao. Last but not least, we have Joe Taslim playing the character of Sub-Zero.
The movie is directed by James Wan. The script-writer of the movie Grey Russo announced the joining of Elissa. He shared a post on Twitter confirming Elissa as Nitara in the upcoming movie.
Cadwell has previously worked as a shunt woman in The Shakkows (2016) and Aquaman (2018). The director of Mortal Kombat is Simon McQuoid who is directing the screenplay. The plot of the movie is still a secret.
The shooting is still in progress and is taking place in South Australia. It is expected that the movie will make its premiere on 5th March 2021.
