All the Marvel fans seem to be devastated after Tony Stark’s death in Avengers: Endgame.
Almost all the MCU’s characters participated in Iron Man’s funeral but the fans still demand him to return. Every fan urges to see him again in the Avenger series. However, MCU proceeds with a legal guideline of time.
It is most obvious that Iron Man will not return. Except for small flashback roles or voiceovers. However, the multiverse is launched and it seems to be a doorway for Tony Stark.
The comic series books have done its job to create a parallel universe that is collectively called the multiverse. These are basically the places where one particular Avenger can stay their entire life. That is very contradictory to the old traditional storyline.
Now, many TV shows and films show multiverse especially ‘The Flash’ and the ‘Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse’.
Robert Downey Jr talks about his role as Iron Man:
The actor himself said that anything can happen in MCU. As far as his role as Iron Man is considered, he has enjoyed playing it. He is comfortable to let the character end at this note.
However, he added that Marvel is trying other different things that are going to be exciting. This indirectly referred to the Multiverse. Robert is neither completely denying nor completely agreeing to the fact of coming back.
There is additional humor about Robert Downey Jr. that he may give his voice to another MCU character. That character may not necessarily be a part of the Avengers’ series but can be an animated character. Most probably from a show from Disney+ channel. It may also be the mechanical voice of Jarvis like intelligence.
Therefore, we can not bet on Iron Man’s return. But hope to see our favorite character again in the MCU.
