Halsey has been making waves in the music industry. The singer has quickly risen to one of the biggest pop stars and boasts of billboard hits upon hits. Also, she has a loyal and dedicated fan following on social media. The Without Me hitmaker has almost twelve million followers on twitter.
And these fans got a strange wake-up call on Saturday. Halsey tweeted about the experience of jet lag. She spoke about how she is awake at 3:30 am having a peanut butter & jelly sandwich. Other random thoughts, such as a question about doing her laundry and writing three TV pilots, were also mentioned.
It’s so funny cause I don’t know how to explain to u guys that PB&J is probs one of the most popular foods in America. like a lot of people ate them almost every single day growing up. I can’t believe it’s such blasphemy internationally

However, among all these, the thing that created quite a conversation is an American food staple – PB & J sandwiches. People went berserk on the comments about the food combination. Many were disgusted by the sandwich variant, while some had never even heard about it.
Since Halsey’s songs are global chart-toppers, she has a fan following from all over the world. And they were quite shocked at the American singer’s food of choice. But Halsey was equally as surprised. Living in America, everyone knows about peanut butter & jelly sandwiches.
Furthermore, it is considered a delicious and healthy snack. So, the fact that her fans had such a strong reaction to the sandwich made her confused. It is almost like America isn’t the only country in the world. We kid, you guys!
Anyway, Halsey stood strong on behalf of the asleep American citizens. She defended the staple snack and encouraged her fans to try it. But then more cultural differences joined the mix. Many countries call Jell-O jelly too.
So, another debate occurred – what is jelly exactly? And the songstress again came to the rescue, spreading some knowledge about American culture. As she clarified, jelly is a jam with no seeds. You mix that with some peanut butter and voila – a PB & J.
Not sure about you guys, but all this PB&J talk sure is making us hungry!
