If you are also a fan of the role-playing classic franchise Vampire: The Masquerade but cannot wait till March 2020 for Vampire: The Masquerade- Bloodlines 2, then we have a good news for you. Indie studio Draw Distance is set to introduce a brand new adventure game Vampire: The Masquerade- Coteries of New York, in addition to the latest edition of the tabletop game.
Vampire: The Masquerade- Coteries of New York is going to be a single-player game with a Tell-tale inspired narrative. The game, as described by the Draw Distance studio, is going to be “primarily text-driven.” The game will comprise of numerous “morally challenging dilemmas.”
The player is supposed to choose a vampiric bloodline, which will give him a set of Disciplines. Then the player is supposed to use the given Disciplines to influence the other characters that come in his way. There will be other mechanics also in-game. The player must establish a balance between his/her thirst for blood and dwindling humanity. He/she is not allowed to show his vampiric nature, thus breaking the masquerade.
The player will begin the game as a part of the authoritarian vampire sect of the Camarilla. Throughout the game, he/she will learn about the existence of other factions. The major faction among the other factions will be the independent Anarchs. The player will time and again inevitably cross paths with the Anarchs. Now it will be solely the player’s decision whether he wishes to learn more about what the Anarchs represent or shun them.
Vampire: The Masquerade- Coteries of New York is expected to release in the fourth quarter of the current year, 2019. It will arrive on Linux, Mac, and Windows PC as well as Nintendo Switch.
