The most famous anime series ‘Dragon Ball Z’ has fans from all around the world. This is the reason that the Japanese anime TV series has dubs in so many different languages.
It is not adequate to have only English dubs as the fans demand to have the series being dubbed in their national language. However, these dubbings do not serve the purpose well. For example, dubs that are available in Portuguese and Romanian are of very low quality.
These dubs are comparatively of low regard as others. Fans who want to enter the world of Goku and other fighters are not able to get the exact essence of the characters. People who are filled with single-minded zeal often wonder which version is the craziest one: Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z.
The Changes in other Dubs:
Often the original content is served with many changes to make it fit for the younger audiences. The English Dub omits the use of adult contents that are originally present in the Japanese version.
For the kids of North America, the concept such as death is replaced with the concept to travel to another dimension. Alcohols like beer are changed to frothing water. In addition to this, there are music changes or the addition of other sound effects.
The anime series premiered in the year 1989 and ended in January 1996. From that year that is 1996 onwards, its run in the Western countries began.
The company Funimation has released new episodes of the series with new voice dubs. Among those, many are still giving the voice to the characters till the present day.
The Romanian and Portuguese dubs are often found to be ridiculous as they differ from the actual character’s personality. They make the characters look more bizarre than the actual Japanese version.
However, it is true that these countless dubs have made the franchise of Dragon Ball Z famous all around the globe.
