Ironheart To Debut In Our Hearts Sooner Than We Think
During a recent interview with comicbook.com, the President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, revealed that the character of Riri Williams will appear on the big screen. For the first time, in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The character will be played by the actress of “Judas and the Black Messiah”, Dominique Thorne. Dominique will debut as Riri Williams in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, before starring in her own show.
Furthermore, Kevin Feige also revealed that they’re currently shooting for the film and Dominique started filming her scenes this week.
Riri Williams, The 15-Year-Old Super Genius
Writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Mike Deodato created the character of Riri Williams in 2016. Sometime after the events of Civil War II, Riri Williams, a.k.a. Ironheart was introduced in comic books. Thereafter, the events also resulted in Tony Stark/Iron Man going into a coma.
Riri Williams was an M.I.T. student, in comic books, and was also shown to be smarter than Tony Stark. Soon, Riri create her own Iron Man-like Armoured suit in her college dorm. And with Stark in a coma, she stepped up and became Ironheart. And only after 4 years of her debut in comics, Marvel Studios announced that they’re developing a Disney+ show about Ironheart.
A Diversified Marvel Cinematic Universe. Accordingly, the character of Riri Williams was created to diversify the superhero lineup and make it more inclusive.
This also led to the creation of characters like Miles Morales a.k.a Spider-Man, Kamala Khan’s Ms. Marvel and Jane Foster’s Thor. And just like Riri these characters are also going to appear on big and small screens. Miles was the lead character of the animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which also won an Academy Award.
Kamala Khan is getting her own Disney+ show and the role will be played by Iman Vellani. Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster will pick up Thor’s Hammer, Mjölnir (Jonathan), in Thor: Love and Thunder.
The Hardships Of Chadwick Boseman’s Death And New Details About The Sequel
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is a sequel to the flawless Black Panther, is currently being filmed in Atlanta. Also, Ryan Coogler is at it again to direct the sequel. Not much information is currently available about the movie itself.
After the death of Chadwick Boseman, who played the role of Black Panther, it is unclear how the film will move forward. Also, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett and Winston Duke are expected to return for their respective roles. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is supposed to release on July 8, 2022.
