Director James Gunn reveals full cast of Suicide Squad; John Cena, Pete Davidson in the movie

The much-awaited cast of the upcoming movie The Suicide Squad is finally out. Writer-director James Gunn revealed today the characters through a tweet. Gunn tweeted a picture comprising the names of the whole star cast of the movie. But he also wrote along, “Don’t get too attached #TheSuicideSquad”.

As per the tweet, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, and Joel Kinnaman are going to reprise their characters from the original Suicide Squad of 2016. Taika Waiti has switched to DC and is going to be in the movie. Earlier, Watiti had acted and directed for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The earlier rumors proved to be true as former SNL star Pete Davidson, former Doctor Who lead Peter Capaldi, John Cena, and Idris Elba are also going to be featured in the movie.

Don’t forget that Gunn, along with the picture, has also written: “Don’t get too attached”. This might indicate that not all characters will be able to make it to the end of the movie.

However, the characters of the cast have not yet been revealed. There were rumors that Elba would replace Will Smith who plays Deadshot in The Suicide Squad. But then, there were reports that the movie didn’t want to appear to be insulting Smith by replacing him. So, the character of Deadshot will not appear at all.

On the other hand, John Cena is probably going to play Peachemaker. Whereas Peter Capaldi has hinted that his character “is going to be completely bald”.
