Demi Lovato has joined the cast of Will and Grace for its final season. The singer will be playing the role of Jenny, who is a guarded woman and will be unexpectedly coming into Will’s life. The singer shared the news on her Instagram post.
The singer has acted in many roles previously and had her break in the iconic Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock opposite the Jonas Brothers. She also has her show, Sonny with a Chance. She has been a recurring member on Glee and recently has joined the cast of the Netflix move Eurovision alongside Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams.
The popular sitcom Will and Grace, starring Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally, and Sean Hayes will be coming back for the final season which will only have 18 episodes. The show made a comeback in a big way with its third revival and the original cast coming together. “That is why, after consulting with the cast, we all have decided this will be the final season of Will & Grace,” shared executive producers Max Mutchnick. It has been a game-changer for television in its portrayal of the LGBTQ community and as a comedy sitcom. Demi Lovato will not be joining the cast for the entire season but only for three episodes and the plotline around her character’s story and connection to Will is being kept on the dark. Fans of the show and the singer are already excited for the season premiere and see where the writers and the characters end up in the last season of the show.
NBC has yet announced no premiere date. The show is currently midseason and in production now.
