The famous Canadian teen drama Degrassi which was originally released in the 1980s is all set to be back at HBO Max! The sequel to the series is anticipated to be released in 2023, after its complete filming in Toronto. The teen drama focuses on the lives of teenagers and their teachers, and how they are connected and disconnected from each other. This joyful drama is a continuation of the popular Canadian franchise Degrassi Junior High(1989).

A truly serialized one hour drama

Azzopardi and Cohen have claimed that they wish to turn the new series “into a truly serialized one-hour drama.” It is speculated that the new series will have a more dramatic touch to it and would be a little different from the previous ones. The drama has been blessed by two of its star members Linda Schulyer and executive producer Stephen Stohn, who are excited to pass their roles to Lara Azzopardi and Julia Cohen. It is a ten-episode series and will surely bring the excitement of the previous series back!
