Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox are joined by Michael Gandolfini in the Disney+ series “Daredevil: Born Again”
Michael Gandolfini is the newest cast member to join Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, and other actors in the upcoming Disney Plus series Daredevil: Born Again, which stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock.
Crew and Other Cast Members of Daredevil: Born Again
Matt Corman and Chris Ord are the writers and executive producers of the 18-episode Daredevil: Born Again season two. Executive produced by Matt Corman and Chris Ord, it will centre around Cox’s Daredevil, a blind lawyer by day who battles evil as a masked vigilante at midnight. Additionally, D’Onofrio will make his return as mobster Wilson Fisk, or Kingpin, from the Netflix series.
Deadline reports that Gandolfini is in line for a significant part in the superhero flick, likely portraying an aspiring person from Staten Island called Liam. As of the time of writing, neither Marvel nor Gandolfini had made any statements on the subject. Gandolfini gained fame by impersonating a younger version of the Tony Soprano character played by his real-life father in The Many Saints of Newark, a prequel to The Sopranos.
Cox’s Thoughts on the New Season
Cox said about the upcoming Daredevil return in a statement to Entertainment Tonight that it is a strange sensation to already have played this character, to get the perspectives he had with this protagonist, and the route that they’ve been on with the show, for that to be concluded and ceased, and then to be pulled back in and unexpectedly they’re beginning again, and it all feels like a fantasy.
Four years after the first Daredevil series’ three-season run on Netflix came to an end, the 18-episode season of Daredevil: Born Again is set to debut. This new continuing series will undoubtedly be a bigger project than past Marvel shows on Disney+ considering the number of episodes in this season, and it will probably also be one of the most anticipated.
Daredevil: Born Again is slated for release in 2024.
