Dakota Johnson To Enter Marvel Universe As A Female Superhero

The stunning Dakota Johnson has been signed on to play the first superhero at Sony Pictures. As Sony is expanding the universe following the successful run of Spider-Man: No Way Home, 32-year-old actresses have been approached to play a character in the film Madame Web.

She would be playing the title role in Madame Web. The movie is based on the spinoff of the Spider-man character. There may be spider-women in the films but not much can say at this point.

The movie will direct by S.J Clarkson. She currently working on an adaptation of Anatomy Of A Scandal. Previously, she directed Jesse Armstrong series Succession. While Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless will work on the screenplay.

Dakota Johnson Previous Ventures

Johnson had a welcoming year where she played the strong character of Nina in The Lost Daughter on Netflix. Her film Cha Cha Real Smooth was released at the festival and later sold for $15 million to Apple. She will next appear in Persuasion based on the novel of the same name. There she plays the character of Austen.

About the Madame Web Character 

The character of Madame Webb in the comic is that of an elderly woman who has a medical condition that causes her to be hooked to the life support system, which gives the image of a spider web. Because of her condition, she never fought enemies, but she possesses immense physical strength that makes her own version of Doctor Strange.

After the success of Spider-Man 2021, which crossed $1.7 million worldwide, and worked Venom: Let There Be Carnage which made $500 million, Sony soon make a comeback with the powerful hero.

No other actors have discussed the role so far. So fans will have to wait longer to get more information on the upcoming film.
