Daisy Ridley to lead The Christie Affair

The late author is best known for the mystery related genre of the novel. The readers got addicted to the novel and many overwhelming reactions were received from the readers. Daisy Ridley will not only star in but also executive produce the series. The series will be about the sudden disappearance of Agatha Christie in 1926.

Daisy Ridley is expected to play the role of Christie’s wife that is Nan O’Dea and who also happens to be the main character of the series. Nan finds out that she is completely hypnotized by Christie’s dominance and her life runs through his ways. Juliette Towhidi, the writer for the show, is quite precise with the script she is been adapting for the television. She has previously taken credits from “Calendar Girls”, “Death Comes to Pemberley,” “Testament of Youth” and “The Essex Serpent.”

The Christie Affair 

The Christie Affair is not a vintage novel, it got famous in few days due to its mysterious nature. Gramont’s novel was published this February only and caught attention by becoming the No.1 bestseller in U.K. It was published by St. Martin’s Press and was also the bestseller on New York Times’ and Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine Book Club.

As soon as the novel got popular, the fans are excited for the release on TV. With high hopes from the series, Miramax TV has announced the production with Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Rich Green, Jeremy Bell with DJ Goldberg as executive producers. Apart from that, Marina Niel has been given the responsibility of supervising the project for Miramax UK. The remaining cast apart from Daisy Ridley is yet to be locked in.

The Christie Affair is based on the real-life story behind the disappearance of Christie for 11 days. Let’s see what else we will see in the series.
