Chris Hemsworth has been relatively silent about his brother Liam Hemsworth split from Miley Cyrus. In an interview this week Chris spoke about how his brother has relocated to Australia for a better lifestyle & appeared to take a subtle dig at Miley, saying: ‘We got him out of Malibu.’
While discussing the Hemsworth brother’s well known toned physiques, Chris joked that Liam is now the fittest of the trio and cited his recent feature in ‘Men’s Health Australia’ as picture proof.
“I think he has done it. Did you see the Men’s Health cover? I thought, ‘Not bad kid. Not bad. He is out there training and staying fit, and back in Australia doing his thing.”
Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus met first at the set of their film ‘The Last Long’. They announced their engagement in 2012 but things did not go well and they broke up. In 2016 they reunited and married later on 23 December 2018 in an intimate ceremony at their Tennessee home.
In August 2019 the couple announced that they again split & filed divorce. Their divorce was settled in January this year. And now they have moved on romantically, Liam is with his girlfriend Gabriella Brooks whereas Miley is with her boyfriend Cody Simpson.
Addressing their split, Chris’ wife Elsa Pataky said in November of their relationship’s end, “My brother-in-law, well… After a relationship that you’ve dedicated 10 years to, he’s a little bit down, but he’s coping well. He’s a strong boy and he deserves the best, I think he deserves much better.”
