THE HANDMAID’S TALE season 4 is now officially announced. But do we know anything about the new series? The fans of the series have been waiting eagerly for the season 4. Here is everything that is revealed about the show. 

The Handmaid’s Tale

The Handmaid’s Tale is a dystopian drama series created by Bruce Miller. It is based on the novel of the same name written by Margaret Atwood. The plot of the series features a dystopia following the 2nd American Civil War where fertile women known as “Handmaids” are subjected to child-bearing slavery by totalitarian society. The series was ordered by Hulu.

Season one of The Handmaid’s Tale, comprising of 10 episodes was launched on April 26, 2017. The next season, consisting of 13 episodes was launched on April 25, 2018. Season three consisting of 13 episodes was launched on June 5, 2019. In July 2019, the Handmaid’s Tale series was renewed for a fourth season. In September 2019, it was announced that the sequel series will be based on the novel ‘The Testaments’.

Season 4 Release Date

There is no official announcement about the release date of season 4 of the series. The series is expected to be released by autumn of this year (2020).

The Cast of Season 4

There is no news yet about who will be featured in the fourth series of The Handmaid’s Tale. The majority of the leading cast is expected to be the part of the series for another season. This includes Elisabeth Moss (as June Osborne), Yvonne Strahovski (as Serena Joy) and Ann Dowd (as Aunt Lydia). Other expected cast members include O.T. Fagbenle (as Luke), Alexis Bledel (as Emily) and Joseph Fiennes (as Commander Waterford).
