Previous Sex and the City star Blair Underwood took to Instagram on Sunday, May 30 to declare his split from spouse Desiree DaCosta. The couple wrote in a joint explanation, “After an enormous measure of thought, supplication, and work on ourselves independently and on the whole, we have arrived at the resolution to end our marriage that started 27 years prior.”
Underwood and DaCosta share three youngsters together—children, Paris, 24, and Blake, 19, and little girl Brielle, 22.
“It has really been a wonderful excursion,” their Instagram post proceeded. “Our proudest accomplishments are our three mind-boggling kids. Three spirits to which God endowed us. We keep on being awed and lowered by the endowments of nurturing. We have consistently put their general benefits first and will keep on doing as such. We will keep on being the awesome companions and co-guardians and have the most extreme regard for each other as we set out upon this new section of our lives, independently.”
Like Underwood, DaCosta worked in the entertainment world as Eddie Murphy’s partner on films like Harlem Nights and Another 48 Hours. It was DaCosta who encouraged Underwood to join SATC as the adoration interest of Miranda (Cynthia Nixon).
