The fifty-one-year-old is scheduled for execution probably later in this month for a murder which happened in 1996.
Many stars including Beyonce, Rihanna, Pusha T and T.I have signed the petition to prevent the execution of Rodney Reed. Rodney Reed is scheduled for execution on 20th November 2019 in accusation for the murder of Stacey Stites in Bastrop, Texas which was held in 1996. The petition is signed by around 2.5 million people so far including the celebrities Beyonce, Rihanna, Bernie Sanders, Pusha T, Richard Branson, Meek Mill.

Beyonce wrote in a statement on her website to take a hard look at the substantial evidence in the Rodney Reed case that points to his innocence. the star also wrote in her statement “Be honest Be fair Give him back his life”. Beyonce has written these to the Texas Govt. Greg Abbott.
