Bevin Prince, an alumnus of One Tree Hill, opens up about her husband’s demise
Prince spoke about the incident for the first time in five months after his 33-year-old husband, William Friend, passed away from a tragic lightning strike and regarded it as a total nightmare.
Death of Her Husband, William
William Friend, who married to Bevin Prince in 2016, perished unexpectedly from a lightning strike while on July 3 while sailing nearer to Masonboro Island. The National Lightning Safety Council alleged that following the incident, emergency medical care attempted to save him for twenty minutes. According to the neighboring source, WECT, he was shortly declared dead in an ambulance.
On Jon Evans’ podcast on December 2, Prince recalled the incident and said it was like any other day they’d done a million times: the storm was far away, they were on the boat, everything was fine, then suddenly, everything changed, there was nothing normal, and there was no rulebook for it.
She added that just before he was attacked, he remarked to her father that if they were struck by lightning, that would be an excellent place to be while lighting a cigar, and he was exactly where he intended to be when it occurred.
The actress stated that a nurse, a former service man, and a target hunter, who were all on the boat nearby to the couple at the time of the attack, helped her so swiftly after she called for help. Unfortunately, despite their greatest efforts, Friend passed away from his afflictions.
Bevin Prince on Living Life After the Demise of Her Husband
The actress opened up and stated that there are days when she doesn’t seem right. She considers that on those days, she needs to remind herself that she has two choices: she could survive on this planet or she could quit. She claimed that she consoled herself with the knowledge that few people would have the opportunity to experience such great and intense love from someone.
Bevin Prince continued by saying that she would keep showing up and serving the people in her town, the people she works with, her friends, and her family, and that she would do everything in her power to do so.
