Asia Content Awards 2021: Netflix’s “Sweet Home” & “Move to Heaven” Win Big !

Sweet Home &  Move to Heaven were Big Winners at Night!

The Annual Asia Content Awards was on 7th October. Asia Content Awards celebrates the content produced on OTT platforms and TV. The ceremony celebrates the talents of the Asian drama series.  The ceremony held was a mix of both online and in-person elements. It was broadcasted on Naver and YouTube. Move to Heaven and Sweet Home were the big winners of the night.

Move to Heaven bagged Best Actor

Netflix’s ‘Move to Heaven’ won the awards for Best Creative Award, Best Actor bagged by Lee Je-Hoon, and Best Writer Award for Yoon Ji-ryun. The series was released in 2021 on Netflix with rave reviews.  The series revolves around a man with Asperger syndrome and his uncle who works as trauma cleaners. They clear out the possessions of dead people and tell them the stories of their loved ones.

Celebratory win for Sweet Home

Another Netflix series Sweet Home took home the award for Technical Achievement Award, Go Min-si won for Newcomer-Actress Award, and Song Kang for ACA Excellence Award. The series was released in 2020 on Netflix which is based on the book of the same name Sweet Home by Kim Carnby and Hwang Young-chan. Sweet Home is a series where the scenario is humans turn into monsters and a boy and his neighbors fight them off to keep humanity alive.

Girl from Nowhere Season 2 bagged the Best Asian Tv Series Award. The Long Night received the award for Best OTT Original Award.  The award category was dominated by Netflix series to say. Alice in Wonderland, Long Night, Sweet Home and Made in Heaven had multiple nominations. Best Actress for Song Ja for A Love for Dilemma, which explores topics such as parent-child relationships and education. Japan’s Heaven’s Design Team won for Best Animation.
