Netflix Has Another Heartfelt Movie Streaming: Hillbilly Elegy.

Hillbilly Elegy is the newest movie on the streaming platform starring Academy Award nominee actors Amy Adams and Glenn Close. The story shines brightly under the direction of Ron Howards. The Netflix movie is based on J.D. Vance’s best-selling autobiography with the same name.

The movie aims to deal with issues of poverty, drug addiction, and a family that is falling apart and it is as if the family matriarch, Mamaw played by Glenn Close is putting together the broken pieces. Based on Vance’s own life, Amy Adams’ character is Beverly, the erratic mother who is dealing with addiction issues. If you haven’t already watched the movie, here’s the official trailer of the movie.

The Netflix Movie Stars Amy Adams And Glenn Close.

The movie while trying hard to bring forward some relevant issues of the society somewhere lacks that charm and magic despite having such a talented star cast and an equally talented writer and director. The story somewhere ends with no proper explanation of some themes that are although shown but goes without a definition, to be honest. The newest Netflix movie, however, has been receiving mixed reaction from viewers.
