Alex Trebek health issues
Fans brace yourself! Trebek is now on his death bed. He had announced last year in March that he is diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He was actually suffering from persistent stomach ache before that but failed to recognize the serious reason behind it. But Trebek was positive.
He fought aggressively with the disease joking that he has to host Jeopardy until 2022. He updated in May 2019 that the treatment went well and the tumors have reduced to half. He finished the rounds of chemotherapy before he had to host the show Jeopardy. After that the immunotherapy was unsuccessful and he continued the chemotherapy in September.
On 4th October 2019, Alex stated in an interview with Lisa LaFlamme that,”I’m not afraid of dying,” and “I’ve lived a good life, a full life, and I’m nearing the end of that life … if it happens, why should I be afraid [of] that?” He noticed that a few sores were caused on his mouth due to chemotherapy. They were causing problems while speaking on which Alex said,”there will come a point when they (fans and producers) will no longer be able to say, ‘It’s okay.’” His fans showed their support with the #WeLoveYouAlex on Twitter.
In March 2020 Trebek announced that he survived one year of cancer treatment. He hopes to live for one more year.
