After Seven Glorious Years of Marriage, What Led to the Divorce of Kelly Clarkson and Brandson Blackstock?

The celebrated singer has filed for divorce from husband of seven years Brandon Blackstock

Kelly Clarkson, judge of The Voice and former American Idol winner has filed for divorce from her husband Brandon Blackstock after seven years of marriage. This came as a huge shock to fans as they always seemed to get along really well. Clarkson was even sharing photos of her family as they were in quarantine and everything seemed fine there as well.

What could have happened?

Let’s wind the clock back to 2012. Kelly’s music career was going really well, but her personal life was always kept under wraps at that time. But everyone came to know about her more when she started dating Blacksworth, who was a talent manager in 2012. Brandon was the stepson of Kelly’s friend and idol, Reba McEntire. It was Reba who introduced them to each other.

The couple got married the very next year and had their first child River Rose in 2014. Kelly also became the stepmother of Brandon’s children from his first marriage. They had a son later in 2016 named Remington Alexander.

In 2013, shortly after their marriage, Brandon was suspected to be cheating, but Clarkson and his ex-wife stepped in to say they were all baseless rumours.

Another reason could be their busy schedules that results in them spending time away from each other. It could be a possibility that the couple drifted apart due to all that.

Fans are still hopeful that the two will reconcile as many celebrity couples had headed for divorce but decided to call it off and try to make things work again. The decision they take next will entirely depend on them, but we can guarantee that they will remain on good terms and co-parents their children.
