‘Peter Pan & Wendy’ Reveals Official Poster, With 2023 Release Date

A new journey to Neverland awaits

Disney’s D23 is going on in full swing, and among the exciting announcements was Peter Pan & Wendy, the latest live-action adaptation of the classic Disney movie. While we did not get a teaser like The Little Mermaid, we got a pretty good poster of the film. Let’s take a closer look.

The new poster shows the villain Captain Hook’s famous pirate ship sailing through the clouds, perhaps towards Neverland, the magical land where children never grow up. The evening glow of the sun provides silhouettes of the leading characters. We see Wendy (Ever Anderson) and the other Darling children standing on the sails, while the bold Peter Pan (Alexander Molony) is in the sky, aiming a strike at the evil Captain Hook (Jude Law).

The poster also highlights that Peter Pan & Wendy is going to premiere in Disney+ in 2023, meaning the wait won’t be long before we get a trailer and an official date confirmation.

It can be understood from the title that Wendy will also have a bigger role to play in Peter Pan & Wendy. Additional cast includes Yara Shahidi from Black-ish and Grown-ish as Peter’s companion Tinker Bell, and Joshua Pickering and Jacobi Jupe as Wendy’s siblings John and Michael Darling. Peter Pan & Wendy is directed by David Lowery, the director of Disney’s Pete’s Dragon, a well-received film. Additional production details are not available as of now.

The movie is the latest in a series of adaptations of classic animated hits that continue to be a beloved part of the lives of children. Disney is offering the other movies a joint release on theatres and Disney+.
