The force gets stronger yet again
We are days away from the highly anticipated premiere of Andor on Disney+, the latest series set in the massive universe of Star Wars. Before its debut, some critics were granted early screenings of the first four episodes and turns out, that every one of them agreed that the force is strong with this one. The series stars Rogue One: A Star Wars Story character Cassian Andor and how he led a team of rebels against the Empire. Diego Luna returns as the fan-favorite character, and the trailer showed as an espionage thriller.
Andor Cast And Story
The series also sees the return of Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, a valuable individual who understands Palpatine’s evil plans and assembles the rebellion squad to fight him from the shadows. The cast members include Forest Whitaker, Anton Valensi, Alex Ferms, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, and Fiona Shaw.
The show is written and created by Tony Gilroy, the writer of Rogue One. Gilroy has already teased that the story will continue on to a second season, and gave a setting of how the story will be told. Season 1 will happen over one year of Cassian’s life, and season 2 will tell stories of the years that followed, with every year told over three episodes.
The reviews for Andor call it unlike any other Star Wars story ever seen before. The series is gritty and mature, with many calling Gilroy a genius. The performances are excellent and the overall energy is electric. Others praise the change of scenery, without any Jedis or lightsabers or Tatooine. The cinematography was beautiful and the story is very grounded.
In conclusion, don’t miss out on Andor.
