Showtime renewed ‘Super Pumped’ season 2
The showtime network decided to go ahead with the season 2 of Super Pumped. This decision for the second season by the Entertainment is taken before the season 1 release. The First Season is set to release on February 27th, 2022. The series is based on the book written by Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber by Mike Issac.
The show mainly focuses on the ups and downs experienced by Uber CEO Travis Kalanick. The company saw success as well as failure. What happened internally in the company like internal battles etc. will also be be all revealed in it. The title will be ‘Super Pumped: Battle of Uber’. Season 2 of this series will be focusing on Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The title will be ‘Super Pumped: Sheryl & Mark.’ It will also be about how the company became the centre of the Social Media world and changed the dynamics.
The Details of First Season
Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays the role of Travis Kalanick, Kyle Chandler(Bill Gurley), Kerry Bishé (Austin Geidt), Babak Tafti (Emil Michael), Mousa Hussein Kraish (Fawzi Kamel), Hank Azaria (Tim Cook), Elisabeth Shue (Bonnie Kalanick), and Uma Thurman (Arianna Huffington) will be the cast of the first season.
The first five episodes are scheduled from February 27 to March 27; an Episode for a week. The Creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien are famous for the ‘Billions.’ They were to write and produce executively the series as well with Showtime Networks.
It’s still a mystery as to who will be playing the role of Mark. The role of Mark Zuckerberg was played before in the movie ‘The Social Network.’ The role was played by none other than Jesse Eisenberg whose performance bagged the actor’s first Academy Award Nomination.
