The former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee are going to be acted upon in the series.
The tabloids were dominated by the couple’s relationship. They went on a honeymoon and their sex tape from the hotel was stolen and leaked.
About the series
Seth Rogen will play the role of the man who stole the tape. Director Craig Gillespie is helming the series. Rob Siegel is there to see the writing part. The project is being produced by Rogen and his partner Evan Goldberg through their Point Grey banner along with Dylan Sellers through Limelight, Dave Franco and Sue Naegle, and Megan Ellison at Annapurna. The shooting of the eight-episode series will commence in Spring.
The development has been spearheaded by Point Grey. Rogen and Goldberg brought the original idea to the table. The series will showcase much of the scandalous event. A big focus on their relationship will be launched. Everything will be shown from a whirlwind romance and their marriage which happened in only 96 hours of knowing each other.
There was a legal dispute because of the VHS tape. Anderson was suing the Internet Entertainment Group. There was a confidential settlement deal with IEG finally. The company made the tape fully available to subscribers. There was triple the normal traffic as a result of it.
