With the help of practicality, Christopher Nolan had continued to challenge the limits of cinema. The filmmaker will now capture a genuine atomic bomb detonation for Oppenheimer to use in the next movie. Recently, Nolan spoke about how he handled Oppenheimer and the reasons he believed the movie needed to rely on special effects. Without the assistance of computer animation, he asserted, it was exceptionally hard for him to replicate the Trinity examination.

He asserted that he was quickly able to enlist Andrew Jackson, his visual effects supervisor, and that they were thinking about how to do many of the visual parts of the film electronically, including duplicating Los Alamos up on a mesa in New Mexico in an unusual environment, portraying quantum dynamic behavior and quantum physics, as well as the Trinity test itself. Much of this work was necessary for the film because of the extraordinarily adverse situations there. They posed enormous logistical challenges.
