The creator follows behind PewDiePie in achieving this feat
When it comes to being one of the most unique YouTubers out there, hardly anyone can beat MrBeast. His immense popularity over the last three years has now led him to become the second YouTuber to cross 100 million subscribers, previously achieved by his idol, PewDiePie.
Let’s read more about what’s next.
What’s Next For MrBeast
The 24-year-old, whose name is Jimmy Donaldson, spoke about his achievement. He said that 100 million means so much and that he has been making videos since he was 11 years of age. For him, the number represented everything he’s done in his life, and he’s so grateful to everyone who has watched a video he made. “I hope to do YouTube until the day I die,” he signs off.
As a celebration, MrBeast shared plans to release his latest merchandise through a special shoppable live stream on YouTube. YouTube has also made an announcement saying that one of his most expensive videos will be coming on August 4.
Another impressive feat by Jimmy was that he became 2021’s highest-earning YouTuber, having earned $54 million with his videos. His channel now rests at the No.5 position, with T-Series still being the most subscriber (221 million). In the second spot is Moonbug’s Cocomelon (139 million), SET India in third (138 million), and PewDiePie in fourth (111 million).
Jimmy began uploading in 2012, mainly with gaming clips. His career received a massive push after associating with major YouTubers, and uploading clips of him handing out large sums of money to people for doing simple stuff.
He started taking it up further, after booking entire stadiums or building massive sets to host games, where the winner or winners get huge amounts of money. His videos to check out include ‘Squid Game In Real Life!’ and ‘I Spent 50 Hours Buried Alive.’
