In a statement to Deadline, a source to Kate Winslet said that she was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure that the producers demanded. There is no serious problem, and she will begin filming this week again.

Winslet has been roped in to star in Lee since 2015. She will be starring as World War II correspondent Lee Miller in the movie. Miller was a cover model for Vogue before becoming a photographer. The movie will be directed by Ellen Kuras and Marion Cotillard, Jude Law, Josh O’Conner, and Andrea Riseborough will star alongside Kate Winslet.

Lee Miller famously chronicled the war from the allied front lines and exposed the cruelty that Hitler and Nazi Germany committed against the Jewish community. She had famously recorded the first use of napalm in France, less than a month after D-Day.

Kate Winslet had spoken about Lee to Deadline in 2021. She said that what they were developing was not a biopic. If it were so, they would have made an HBO-worthy series that showed her whole life. Instead, they will be documenting the most interesting decade of the daring journalist, who passed away in 1977. Winslet said that they will be documenting the period from 1938-1948 which was her most defining time, and what kind of a person she became due to all that. That is what the audience should see more than any other part of her life.
