The movie is based on a popular book of the same name, written by military historian and war correspondent Damien Lewis. The story is inspired by real events and will show how UK prime minister Winston Churchill and James Bond author Ian Fleming set up a secret WWII combat organization. This unlikely group’s unorthodox fighting methods inspired a new wave of combat against the Nazis, helping to change the tide of war. In fact, this inspired the modern-day Black Ops forces.

The movie was taken to Paramount Pictures due to Bruckheimer’s first look deal with them, but they’ve decided not to distribute the film. A report by Deadline states that it will be the movie with the biggest budget to be up for sale at the American Film Market starting next week.
