In This Music Video, Taylor Swift Reinterprets the Cinderella Story. “Bejeweled,” starring Laura Dern
Taylor Swift, who is now conquering the internet with her spectacular and magnificent album “Midnights” with Spotify, proclaiming her album as the most streamed album in a single day in the platform’s lifetime, has recently released the official music video for “Bejeweled.” Taylor Swift also surpassed all records for the largest pop album by first-day streaming, according to Apple Music.
Swift plays the role of Cinderella in Taylor’s incredible music video, with Laura Den playing her stepmother, HAIM playing as her stepsisters, and Antonoff playing the prince. Swift begins the movie mopping the floor while the “Enchanted” theme music plays in the background. She then hears her stepmother and stepsisters talking about a talent contest where the winner would get the keys to their own palace and a sweet proposal from the prince. Then, the HAIM’s stepsisters tease Swift for being unable to attend and participate, and her stepmother also taunts her by remarking on how the prince became weary of her so quickly and easily. After they go, Swift uses magic to change both the flooring and herself into a stunning princess with glittering diamonds.
Swift is seen in the video winning the talent contest, receiving the castle’s keys, and then ghosting the prince.
Jimmy Fallon’s Conversation with Taylor
In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Taylor characterised “Bejeweled” as a crazy invention for her devoted and valued followers who cherish fairytales, glitter, and little cameos. She claimed that working with Dern was the simplest thing she had ever done when questioned about the casting. Dern, according to her, was the coolest. For the release of “Midnights,” she admitted that she was feeling vulnerable and tender because it was her first autobiographical album in a while.
