Whoopi Goldberg was fat-shamed
Barbara Corcoran apologized to Whoopi Goldberg for making joke of her weight during her appearance on “The View”.
On Thursday, Shark Tank star Corcoran appeared on ABC’ popular talk show as guest along with her co-stars Mark Cuban and Daymond John. Whoopi Goldberg is the moderator of the show.
Where it all started?
Everything was going well until they pick the topic of jeans of “Good American”, Khloe Kardashian’ fashion company where Goldberg asked Shark Tank’ star Emma Grede, “Will they fit this COVID [butt]?. Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro, Goldberg’ co-host assured her that she can wear them as those are made to fit every women with different shapes and sizes.
That is the moment, Barbara commented addressing Whoopi that when Goldberg is finished with those jeans and decide not to wear them anymore she can give them to her. Barbara said she will make two pairs from them. Not to mention her comment caused a buzz in the audiences and left Goldberg with a awkward smile for few moments.
Just after Barbara’s statement, Ana Navarro defended her co-host saying that both Sara Haines and Jill Biden has already wore that dress on TV.
That particular episode of “The View” drew a strong reaction among the fans. Lot of viewers started speaking in support of Goldberg, also they praised Ana Navarro for her solid comeback.
Barbara Corcoran apologized
Later Barbara Corcoran took her Twitter to apologize for her statement. She said that She has just came back from “The View” after meeting her old friend Whoopi.
As Barbara knows her for years, she knows that she has a phenomenal sense of humor. She continued saying that she has made a joke at Whoopi’ expense and now realize that the joke was not funny. She apologized saying “For anyone who I may have offended unintentionally, I just want to say I really am very sorry.”
