Director Pablo Larrain seems intent on continuing to center around some of the most celebrated women in modern history and has found the next subject in soprano Maria Callas. Angelina Jolie is the lead role in the biopic centering around famed opera singer Maria Callas. It is fascinating as Pablo Larrain is turning his lens to yet another iconic, but complex, woman in history, and this time, he is calling on Angelina Jolie to lend his hand.
Although Jolie is a famous and talented actress, it is not going to be easy getting inside the skin of Maria Callas. She is very excited and glad to work as a famed opera singer under an Oscar-nominated filmmaker.
About the movie
The upcoming movie on the biopic of Maria Callas, the World’s greatest opera singer will showcase real-life incidents, indicating how unique, beautiful, and tragic accounts of her life are.
At her break-down of career time, at the age of 23, Callas was so broke that she could not afford a coat, when she met her husband, Giovanni Battista Meneghini, at an opera festival in Verona, where his brother-in-law, the festival official head was looking for beautiful singers to guide the elderly merchants.
She died in 1977 from a heart attack. She was one of the best-known and most influential sopranos of the 20th century and was known by many as La Divina, or The Divine One.

As reported by Variety, the Hollywood actress & amazing film director are looking forward to working with each other on this amazing biopic. Angelina Jolie re-tweeted the post on her Twitter handles agreeing to be on-board on the project.
