With only the finale for season 3 left, the show is quickly becoming one of the most beloved in pop culture
Amazon Prime’s The Boys is set to begin production for season 4. The tea was spilled by our own Billy Butcher, Karl Urban. The actor gained a massive fan following after playing the cunning leader of the vigilante group in the Amazon Prime series. The show is also known for its many pop culture references and celebrity cameos. Let’s read more on season 3 and what’s in store.
The Boys So Far
Season 3 of The Boys has been wild throughout, and continues to get wilder. Jensen Ackles was introduced as Solider Boy, the show’s version of Captain America, but with a completely twisted personality. Victoria Newman (Claudia Doumit) is now known by most characters as the head-popping supe, and is the adopted child of Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito). After the events of season 2, The Boys is now closer to the government and has the support of more people in keeping superheroes in check. However, divisions within the group have reached an all-time high. In the midst of this comes Vought’s secret production of a new version of Compound V, that can temporarily make someone a superhero. Both Butcher and Hughie have been hooked to the stuff and have taken the fight to Homelander (Antony Starr).
In an interview with Collider, Urban said that he is going back for The Boys season 4, ready to get his Butcher back on. He spoke about the gang being so fun, and that everyone works hard and plays hard.
Season 4’s storyline remains shrouded in mystery, but certain reports claim that Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who is a close friend of showrunner Erik Kripke, is in talks to star in season 4.
