Overlord is an anime series that premieres on Crunchyroll and is from the Niseko genre. It is a light novel series written by Kugane Maruyama. It is highly popular with more than 5 million copies sold worldwide. The series is adapted into Manga, anime, and into movies.
The well-known anime series-Overload is written by Kugane Maruyama and illustrated So- bin. Overload is directed Naoyuki Itō and the script is written by Yukie Sugawara, along with Shūji Katayama as the song composer.
Overlord season 2 was aired in March 2017. And got gained a major fanbase. Later, Overlord Season 3 was aired in 2019. It left the fans wanting for more and so they decided to renew it for season 4.

During the Overlord panel, In a convention in Germany, the fourth season of the anime series was discussed. While writer Kugane Maruyama had no comments about the season 4 of the anime. Scriptwriter for the anime series Yukie Sugawara told convention attendees that it was “extremely likely” that the fourth season would be produced in the future.
The novel saga: Overlord season 4
Fourteen volumes of the popular manga series have been published from July 30, 2012 till date. With more support and success Writer Kugane Maruyama has announced he can write up to 20 more volumes for the light novel.
Season 4 of the series is assumed to be based our from 9 to 14 volumes of the light novel series. Regarding that, the animation studio has a lot of content to work with.
There has been a lot of support for both the novel and anime.
However, as of now there has been no official confirmation about the season 4 from the studios involved. The new season is likely to come out in late 2020 or early 2021.
