The promise Neverland season two been confirmed to be greenlit for production, and release the date for Yakusoku no Neverland season 2 is scheduled to be in late 2020.
Watching the second season has become a necessity for fans of anime who are eagerly waiting to know what happens next after the characters Emma, Ray, and other children escape Grace Field House into the forest of demons.
After all, the Yakusoku Neverland anime has not explained yet the situation in the larger world and there’s the mystery of William Minerva too. Thankfully, the anime production staff are already discussing how early production can proceed. During Anime Expo 2019, the director of TPN Marmoru Kanbe stated that adapting the manga’s story would be a tough “challenge”.
He also said the staff is already working on the anime’s script. The only audience who think or found the first season a little too sluggish or boring will perk up by hearing that the Promised Neverland season two will be more action-based.
The anime was clearly written with pacing keeping in mind the goal of reaching and finishing the manga’s first significant story arc by episode 12. It could be debatable that 13 episodes would have allowed for more exhaustive character writing, but what the anime accomplished with just 12 episodes is outstanding.
The good news for the anime fans is that The Promised Neverland episode 12 found an ending right around Chapter 37 of volume 5. Anyone who is interested to read ahead should commence with Chapter 38 of Volume 5, which is already out for sale in English. Considering that the next two story arcs are 64 chapters together, it’s very much possible that The Promised Neverland Season 2 will need to be a two-part season with at least 24 episodes.
