‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’ (aka ‘Tensei Shitara Suraimu Datta Ken’ or ‘TenSura’ or ‘Slime Isekai’) is adapted from a light novel series written by Fuse. It is a classic Isekai anime show where the main character ends up dying and finds himself in a whole new fantastical world later. However, this one comes with a twist—the character takes the shape of a slime in his “afterlife” and then sets out to save his new-found world.

What makes the series stand out, is its simplicity and creativity. The creators have weaved all the fantasy elements together to keep the viewers engrossed. So, it’s no surprise this anime manages to stand out among many such similar shows.

‘That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime’ season 1 premiered on October 2, 2018. It aired a total of 24 episodes. Soon after its release, the anime became one of the most popular Isekai shows and since then, anime fans from all over the world have been looking forward to its second season. The good news is that the anime has been renewed and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 is scheduled to release sometime in October 2020.

Further, during Crunchryroll’s Annual Anime Awards celebration, a sneak-peak promo of the anime was featured. The promo also showed some key details of the staff involved with the new season.

Earlier this year, the anime’s official page on Twitter also released some of the key art for its second season.
