“The Flash” star Ezra Miller is still not investigated despite a video posted on Twitter on Sunday appeared to show the actor attacking her. Gunnar Rúnar Sveinbjörnsson, a spokesman for the Reykjavik Metropolitan Police, said that the officers were never called to the scene of the crime and no injuries were reported to the police.
The video emerged on Sunday night, 5th April and soon began trending.
Ezra Miller is best known for playing the DC Comics superhero The Flash in “Batman v Superman” and “Justice League”. He has not made any statements yet. His representatives have not yet responded or commented regarding the situation either.
The 7 second long video, which was posted online on Sunday, shows a man who appears to be the 27 year old actor saying, “Oh, you wanna fight? That’s what you wanna do?” to the young woman who seems to play fight with him. He then proceeds to take his hand to her neck and pushes her against the back of an aisle truck. He is later seen maneuvering her to the ground.
The 27-year-old actor portrayed Barry Allen/The Flash in Warner Bros.’ “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Justice League”. He is also set to star as the hero in a standalone “Flash” movie currently dated for the summer of 2022.
Appeals for Ezra Miller to be removed from the DC Extended Universe are gaining momentum after the video surfaced on Twitter.
While some viewers believed the interaction was a harmless joke, since the woman appears to be smiling. Some others are concerned as they pointed out that the person recording the video sounded worried.
Prikið Kaffihús, the owner of the bar in Reykjavik, confirmed that the incident was indeed a serious one. He also added that The Flash star had to be immediately escorted out of the bar.
The female fan in the video has not yet filed charges against the “Justice League” actor.
