Gear Up! Cable Girls’ Fifth & Final Season is Premiering This Year!

Cable Girls is a Spanish period drama web TV series produced by Netflix. The first season premiered in the year 2017 with a total of 8 episodes. Since then there have been 4 more seasons which were premiered in 2017, 2018 and 2019 respectively.

Season five, which apparently will be the last one is all geared up to be premiered this year.

There has been no confirmed release date for the show yet, but season 5 is expected to conclude itself in two parts. The first part has already released on 14th February 2020, and the second half is expected to release by the end of the year.

The series revolves around a group of girls who lived in Madrid at the beginning of the 20th century. They expose themselves to their workplace which is a switchboard in a telecommunication company.

The season four ended with the establishment of a new government in 1931, an extraordinary year after the report. With the death shocking death of Engels, the girls see the world in a different way.

The show stars Ana Polvorosa, Nadia de Santiago, Lydia Aguilar, and Ana Fernández.  It is also revealed that Maggie Sivantos will not return to the series to play any type of character.

The creators of the show have not released any further information regarding the show’s return.

As per the trailer, it is clear that season 5 picks up seven years occurring between 1936 and 1939. Francisco and Lidia return to Spain in search of Sofia, Ángeles’ daughter, who joined the army to fight in the war.

Since the trailer emphasizes on the war way too much so it is assumed that someone will die by the end of the first half.
